Novatis donates to children whose parents are in jail |

Novartis International AG, a multinational pharmaceutical company based in Switzerland, donated 100,000 yuan ($15,160) to Sun Village Orphanage in Beijing's Shunyi district Friday. Novartis has donated a total of 1.05 million yuan ($159,180) to Sun Village since 1999.
Sun Village is a non-governmental organization that provides shelter and education to over 100 children whose parents are in jail.
"The money donated by Novartis will be specifically used for children's medical treatment, including medical insurance fees and hygiene and disease control," said Yi Min, President of Novartis China."
Sun Village founder Zhang Shuqin thanked Novartis for its donation, and called the company a "reliable supporter".
In the past decade, Sun Village has assisted over 2,000 children, enabling them to receive an education as well as psychological guidance and vocational training
