As a non-governmental charitable organization, the Sun Village has been dedicated to providing foster care and education for children of convicts for over ten years. We are committed to bring these minors together in a stable and warm family environment so they can grow up in a happy and healthy surrounding, just like other children.
The childen orphans or physically disabled, children of convicts are not eligible for government subsidy. Unfortunately, they are often despised due to their family backgrounds, leaving some without shelter or abandoned and abused by their relatives. Some would work as shepherds while others beg for money and food. Sadly, some even become criminals like their parent(s).
Over the past ten years, the Sun Village has helped more than 800 children. Currently, more than 200 children are staying at the Children's Villages in Beijing, Xi'an, Xinxiang of Henan and Long County of Shanxi. Our charitable services include:
- Special education
- Psychological counseling
- Rights protection
- Vocational training

Volunteer Guide |
Welcome
Dear volunteers,
Welcome to join us at Sun Village!
It is the traditional Chinese virtue to expand the respect of the aged and the love of the young to our own and other families. Now, you are setting an example of this virtue by taking part in volunteer service here. Our effort may be humble, but we believe that little drops of water can make the mighty ocean. We are confident that as long as we work together, we can help shape the happy future for those children whose parents are in prison. |
